Global Carrier Ethernet

Global Carrier Ethernet (GCE) expands the functionality of a Carrier Ethernet service, delivering increased bandwidth flexibility, efficient use of interfaces, transparent transmission and high-quality transport.

GCE is a point-to-point, point-to-multipoint Ethernet service that supports multiple Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVC) on the same interface combined with bandwidth granularity. We deliver a highly customized experience with connections ranging from 50 Mbps to 100 Gbps.

Transparent transport level, layer 2 – ‘Pure’ Ethernet, multiple virtual circuits on the same interface and with dedicated and guaranteed bandwidth. Best granularity in point-to-point (E-LINE) and multipoint (E-LAN) services with bandwidths from 50 Mbps to 100 Gbps.

Product details

Two types of services

Point to point (E-LINE) and multipoint (E-LAN).

E-LINE Service

Allows the deployment of Hub-and-Spoke circuits, allowing the integration of different remote sites and services on a single interface.

E-LAN Service

Total flexibility in traffic management and connectivity between multiple sites. Each access can be configured with bandwidths from 50 Mbps to 100 Gbps.

Directly on the subsea fiber optic network

Service implemented directly on the Subsea Optical Network, without emulations on top layers.

Flexible contracting

Telxius offers 1, 2, 3 and 5-year lease agreements, both for E-LINE and E-LAN.

Contracting modalities

Lease; one-time installation after activation: Non-Recurring Cost or Monthly-Recurring Cost.

  • Round trip delay: Example Boca Raton-Sao Paulo, less than 110ms (round-trip time)
  • Troubleshooting: maximum 4 hours
  • Service Repair time (Dry Plant): 8 hours

  • Installation time: less than 30 days
  • Compliance with quality parameters according to RFC 2544
  • Protection of the service with automatic switching of less than 50 ms in ring configuration according to ITU-T Recommendation G.8032
