Firmina lands in Argentina

Firmina, the first international submarine cable connecting Los Toninas (Argentina) to South Carolina (U.S.), has successfully landed in Argentina. We recently announced that we joined Google’s Firmina cable to further extend our network with robust, low-latency connectivity, and enhance communications across the Americas.

“Telxius demonstrates once again its commitment to Latam with this new investment in a state-of-the-art submarine cable system. With this new cable system, Telxius has three redundant routes in the Atlantic between the U.S., Brazil and Argentina with SAm-1, Brusa, Tannat and now Firmina, plus a new access point to the U.S. in Myrtle Beach, in addition to the already existing ones in Boca Raton, Jacksonville and Virginia Beach. With this investment, Telxius reinforces its continuous collaboration with Google in several geographies,” said Carlos Casado, VP of Sales, Telxius, Northern Region.
